Joanna Newsom's suddenly forthcoming triple-album,
Have One on Me, is quickly becoming one of the more highly anticipated records of the year, thanks in no small part to Drag City's well-played marketing plan, whereby they've been streaming individual tracks on their website for a week or so at a time. The third such track, "Kingfisher," is up right now. It's over nine minutes long, and judging from what I heard of it before I was slapped upside the head with the realization that I
really wanted to listen to
Under the Pink, it seems pretty good.
