of American political consciousness. To wit, this morning's ABC poll
reveals that a slim majority of Republicans (52 percent) don't think Sarah Palin is qualified to be president, which, yeah, no shit
. Alarmingly, though, 45 percent of Americans in general "agree somewhat" with the Tea Party's stance on issues, a chilling thought
mitigated only by the fact that two thirds of those same Americans aren't really sure what the party actually stands for.
