Even Republicans Don't Think Sarah Palin is Qualified to Be President

The only polling analysis—nay, the only pollster—I really give any credence to is the Chosen One, Nate Silver. However, it's always nice to see poll results that allay ones deep, creeping fears about the impoverished state of American political consciousness. To wit, this morning's ABC poll reveals that a slim majority of Republicans (52 percent) don't think Sarah Palin is qualified to be president, which, yeah, no shit. Alarmingly, though, 45 percent of Americans in general "agree somewhat" with the Tea Party's stance on issues, a chilling thought mitigated only by the fact that two thirds of those same Americans aren't really sure what the party actually stands for.
