News Georgian Luger Dead at the Olympics

Wow. This is horrible. Georgian luger Nodar Kumaritashvili died this afternoon after crashing into a pole on a luge training run. One of eight Georgians at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, the 21-year-old could not be resuscitated after flying off the track at a speed approaching 90 miles per hour.
This obviously adds a hugely somber element to tonight's opening ceremonies.
