I
told you last week that Pavement rehearsed somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 songs for their big
reunion tour—which kicked off last night (sorta, don't make me try to figure out the time difference) in New Zealand—and now we get a glimpse of the first set list, via, I don't know...
some dude. As expected, over half of the 23-song set consisted of tracks from
Slanted and Enchanted and
Crooked Rain, while
Wowee Zowee was also reasonably well represented and
Terror Twilight, well, wasn't. And they played "Give it a Day," which is the best news I've heard ever.
[Thank you, Pete, for the tip.]
