Music Update: Gang Starr MC Guru Not Dead, Recovering After Successful Surgery

The internet, in typically morbid fashion, jumped the gun a little on pronouncing Gang Starr MC Guru dead last night after he went into a coma following a massive heart attack on Sunday. As previously reported right here, Guru (real name Keith Elam) was scheduled to have surgery yesterday, and according to various rap blogs everything went fine, and the smooth-flowing MC is expected to make a full recovery. Phew! This also means that in no time flat he should be right back to making amazing songs like the following:
