Coyotes Running Wild in the Streets of the Far West Side

Posted By on Wed, Mar 3, 2010 at 3:23 PM

Sometimes, when you're upstate in the Hudson Valley, you'll hear packs of coyotes howling on nearby hills. It's pretty spectacular. Other times, when you're hanging out on the far West Side, you'll see a dozen cops trying to catch a single coyote. At the end of the day, coyotes are just really cool and, um, wiley. As one cop puts it in this unedited video: "You know how hard it is to catch this thing? I can't catch my puppy. We're going to need another unit."

God speed, little buddy.
