Some good and bad news from the hip-hop world this afternoon: Guru, the MC from Gang Starr, is no longer in his medically-induced or cardiac arrest-precipitated coma and has announced that he is recovering from surgery. BUT, his relatives (or at least his one nephew) are now up in arms over the way information pertaining to his health was kept from them by the rapper's producer Solar, who seems to have managed the situation so as to be the sole contact between Guru, his family and friends, and the media.
