Unemployment rising to the highest it's been since the Depression in the first year of his Presidency? Federal deficits growing at an annual rate of 8.2 percent throughout his Presidency? Overseeing an increase in the national debt from $700 billion to $3 trillion? JUST SAY NO TO NOBAMA!
Oh wait, that was all Ronald Reagan. Cool. So yeah, let's go ahead and replace Ulysses S. Grant on the $50 bill with an image of the doddering Gipper. Because racist old demagogues with personal charisma are what made this country great. And seriously, thanks Rep. Patrick McHenry, for picking such a chill moment in this country's legislative history to bring up a simultaneously meaningless and yet controversial idea. Way to govern.
