The First Video from Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek's New Reflection Eternal Record Drops

Posted by Benjamin Sutton on Mon, Mar 8, 2010 at 11:21 AM

Yesterday BK MC Talib Kweli and Cincinnati producer Hi-Tek released the first video for the single "In This World" off their much-anticipated, ten years in the making follow-up to Train of Thought, Revolutions Per Minute, which drops in just under a month on April 6. It's all magical light shows, dramatic drums and soulful vocal samples, except for the amazing little interlude where they sample Jay-Z's line from "Moment of Clarity": "If skills sold truth be told/I'd probably be lyrically Talib Kweli." Of course, Talib already played around with that line once before, turning it into, "If lyrics sold truth be told/I'd probably be just as rich and famous as Jay-Z," on "Ghetto Show." Can't wait for this record. (2dopeboyz)
