Looking for a reason to take that crazy trip across the East River? Still think Brooklyn is another country? Still get nervous traveling south of 23rd Street? Are you a character from Sex and the City?
If you answered yes to any of those questions, do I have news for you! Next week is Brooklyn's Restaurant Week, which means over 200 participating restaurants will be offering three-course meals for $25 (not including tax, tip or drinks) which is more expensive than what a lot of really good restaurants in Brooklyn already charge! Awesome!
The list of restaurants is pretty middling as well, with the only standouts from my neighborhood (the land of Williamsburg) being Aurora, Zenkichi and I guess Fornino. It's actually a really weird list, with a lot of (what sound like, at least) outerborough family-style restaurants like, for example, the Mill Basin Kosher Deli in... Mill Basin. See you there!
