News Flower Thief in Park Slope Makes Mockery of "Gang Initiation Day"

Springtime in Park Slope means pretty much one thing: flower theft. Yup, apparently you can't leave your flower pots outside lest they fall into the clutches of a notorious horticultural bandit. One lady, Pauline Blake, says she has lost hundreds of flower pots over the years, and people have resorted to chaining their plants to the house. Police have yet to make any inroads on the case and it seems doubtful that any of this is related ~~Easter Sunday~~ Gang Initiation Day.

So there you have it: Park Slope=gritty urban epicenter of flower theft.
