News Women Arrested for Trying to Board Dead Guy Onto Plane

Two German women residing in England were arrested this weekend as they tried to check a dead relative onto a flight to Berlin, the Beep reports. "Staff became suspicious," the report continues, "when they tried to check in 91-year-old Curt Willi Jarant, who was wearing sunglasses..." Always with the putting sunglasses on a corpse!

The two women, the deceased's wife and stepdaughter, have been "arrested on suspicion of failing to give notification of a death," but claim they didn't know the man was dead as they wheeled him up to board. (Jarant is pictured, in a photo taken either before or after his death.) Many unanswered questions remain: when did they buy the three plane tickets, for instance. And: would you know the proper way to go about transporting a body back to the country of its birth? Things were much simpler in the days of corpse walking.
