Ryan McGinley, the Jersey native and New York-based photographer of pretty, young, generally naked and high road trippers who has a slightly uncharacteristic show of black and white portraits hanging right now
at Team Gallery, was at the 2010 winter Olympics in Vancouver, apparently trying his hand at sports photography. McGinley recently posted the series
Winter Games to his website and, as in the example at right (
Hannah Keamey, Freestyle Skier (Moguls), 2010), it's a quite stunning melding of his candid, nostalgic travelogue aesthetic and conventional sports photography. Be sure to
