NYC Slowly Catching Up with Rest of World When It Comes to Recycling

Posted by on Mon, Apr 12, 2010 at 1:23 PM

New York City is finally, slowly recovering from Mayor Bloomberg's suspension by fiat of recycling back in 2002 (because of the 9/11 and the terrorism or something? I forget). City Council is set to introduce legislation that will see more inclusive recycling (yogurt containers, takeout boxes, medicine bottles etc.) and steeper fines for buildings that fail to adhere. This is good news, considering we suck at recycling as it is.
