Thanks, everyone who came out to the Slipper Room last night for Literary Upstart, for to swill down a full complement of Dogfish Head beer, aggressively answer some rather personal-skewing New York City Literary Trivia competition, and, of course, to listen to our five marvelous readers: Molly Tolsky, Colby Day, Jimmy Six, Justine Sterling, and the winner, Sam J. Miller. (A website? Was he a ringer?) If you missed his story "Men Kill Things," you can hear it again at the finals; stay tuned for an announcement.

Literary Upstart (brought to you by the New School and Harper Perennial, both of which provided ample gratis reading material for attendees to take home) has two more semifinals and the grand finale down the pipe; mark your calendars for the next reading, on Monday, May 17.
