Earlier we mentioned that Nebraska's Ben Nelson, the lone Democratic senator to vote to block debate on the financial reform bill, did so out of concern for the investments held by one very specific, very rich person, Warren Buffet, whose net worth apparently entitles him to the use of one full Unites States senator.

Actually as it happens Nelson owns "up to $6 million in stock in" Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway company. Which is a relief, honestly, because crass and undisguised self-interest is a much more comprehensible motivation than secret fealty to a single shadowy rich dude. Phew!
