wrote last week about wishing I could listen to the new M.I.A. single, "Born Free" (in addition to being a world-class
Tweeter, she also writes songs, you know), on an actual stereo as opposed to my shitty laptop speakers. I'm having that feeling again right now, with "
Tell 'Em," the new single form
Sleigh Bells forthcoming and seemingly aptly-titled debut full-length,
Treats. It is a monster: highly energetic and as hooky as it is abrasive. If the rest of the record is this good, then man, May 11th cannot come soon enough. [via
