News Hookah Bars Are Awful, Stupid and Stinky. Bay Ridge Agrees With Me

Thank you, Bay Ridge. After enduring the sickly sweet miasma of one too many raspberry-fumed hookah bars, the almighty potentate of community board 10 voted unanimously to bring in tougher regulations on the stinky (and tacky) establishments. Says board member Habib Joudeh, in a perfectly reasonable tirade:

[The city should] take out the hookahs in the cafes and lounges and [the bars can] have games people can play if they want to waste their time.

To which I can only say, yes. Please. And make sure to take out that awful, terrible cloud of blueberry ugliness at the corner of Avenue A and 10th Street while you're at it.
