Belle and Sebastian to Play Williamsburg Waterfront

Posted By on Tue, Jun 1, 2010 at 5:08 PM

Even as I sit here writing blurb after blurb for our Summer Music Preview (out next week!), I continue to get emails about freshly-announced shows that need blurbing. This is frustrating—except when one of the freshly-announced shows is Belle and Sebastian. The band's first area show in four years will take place at the Williamsburg Waterfront on September 30th, just a week after you will have seen Pavement, which is like a 90s indie rock dream come true. And it will almost be October, which means you might actually get to watch Belle and Sebastian outdoors, at night, while wearing a sweater. There is too much love indeed.

They're heeeere... That is, more Halloween horror favorites, a Canadian cult classic, and a restored Ken Jacobs film, which he discusses here.

An all-time great continues a theatrical revival run, a bumper crop of October horror, and an extraordinarily rare Kathy Acker film.
