Art The Jeff Koons Art Car Is Here, Came from Tron

Last night Jeff Koons unveiled his rainbow time-warp 2010 BMW Art Car at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, shortly after channeling his inner Bond to pose dramatically with the race car in front of the Eiffel Tower, racing through the torturous streets of the Marais, and foiling a plot by his arch nemesis Dr. Koh. This is the 25th anniversary of the BMW Art Car program (past artists included Andy Warhol, Jenny Holzer and Frank Stella), and the Koonsmobile will race at the Le Mans 24-hour race outside Paris on June 12-13. Koons promised victory: “This car is about this type of life energy, this desire to achieve and this desire to win.”(Dezeen)
