Northside Spotlight: Polvo

Posted by on Mon, Jun 7, 2010 at 4:30 PM

Late last year, legendary Chapel Hill noise-rock band Polvo released In Prism, their first full-length since Shapes from all way back in 1997. We are thrilled to have them back—so thrilled that we begged them to play this year's Northside Festival. They obliged, thankfully, and they'll be sharing a stage with Les Savy Sav and Grails at Barge Park on Sunday, June 27th. So here's what you do: go buy a ticket (or, actually, buy a badge), then press play, above, and listen to "Lazy Comet" from their 1993 debut, Today's Active Lifestyles. Then wonder why bass guitars don't seem to sound like this anymore.
