Williamsburg Cave Paintings Reveal Area's Bohemian Past

FreeWilliamsburg links to LTVSquad's gallery of graffiti, carbon-dated to about the 1980s, just discovered in the locker rooms and underground tunnels of the McCarren Park Pool.

Williamsburg, Brooklyn, a neighborhood first settled by the Dutch in the 17th century, is now best known for its exclusive hotel complexes with rooftop pools, and free concerts attended by fauxhemians like Chuck Schumer. Sociologists and real estate brokers are fascinated by this glimpse into Williamsburg's "artsy" history, and wonder what it might portend for condo sales.
