Over on the
Village Voice's Fork in the Road blog, Robert Sietsema went looking for the
13 Worst Restaurant Names in NYC, somehow only finding one in Brooklyn, and not even a good one at that (
Seersucker on Smith Street). From bad puns (Pita Pan) to unpleasant free-associations (Sheep Station) and incomprehensible code (1 or 8), poorly named Brooklyn eateries could sustain an entire list of their own. Sietsema's number one,
Big Booty Bread Company in Chelsea, is trying way too hard. Meanwhile, Brooklyn has the best worst-named restaurant ever: Sunset Park's
Tacos 2004 Viva Mexico Inc. Restaurant. BKLYN WIN!
