Kristen Chenoweth and Sean Hayes
Broadway producers and a couple theater critics handed out their annual prize (now a couple inches taller!) at Radio City Music Hall last night, bestowing the greatest number of trophies upon a new play (!), John Logan's Red, which took six of the seven prizes it was nominated for, except Lead Actor in a Play for Alfred Molina. That prize went to Denzel Washington in Fences, which also picked up Best Revival of a Play and Best Actress in a play for Viola Davis. Other movie stars getting prizes included: Scarlett Johansson for A View From the Bridge and Catherine Zeta-Jones in A Little Night Music.

Memphis led the musical field with four, followed by Fela! with three, including Best Choreography to Bill T. Jones. For all the nominees click here, for more important theater awards, click here. Also, host Sean Hayes and his Promises, Promises co-star Kristin Chenoweth made out for like 10 seconds (pictured) right at the beginning of the show. It was the biggest surprise of the night.
