Nobody goes to Habana Outpost
anymore: it's too crowded. With, among others, damn kids who are only there to hit on the many ladies who simply want to drink Coronas and eat corn on the cob in a welcoming outdoor space with their girlfriends. So, for now at least, Habana Outpost has been charging
guys for entry on Friday and Saturday nights—it's not quite a cover, more a $10 food or drink minimum, and they hope to end the experiment before the month is out, at which point we'll be able to determine whether this year's faint but noticeable decline in the quality of the food was also a temporary measure designed to keep crowds at a more manageable level, or whether the problems vis a vis the half-assing of the Famous Corn are more serious than one would hope.
