The winner of the first raffle also gets a ticket to a private party on July 13 for the opening of Brion Gysin: Dream Machine, the first U.S. retrospective devoted to the late collagist, painter, writer and performer. The evening will include sets by John Zorn, Beaut and York Factory Complaint, and, of course, a demonstration of the Dreamachine, Gysin's interior vision-facilitating kinetic light sculpture, pictured, between him and lifelong collaborator William Burroughs. That's right: free New Museum membership and you finally get to be just like Burroughs. Get on that.
