Oh, well this is going to be sort of a big deal, now isn't it? On June 30th (that's a week from today), the internet will give us Mount Wittenberg Orca, a seven-song collaborative suite (a suite is fancier than an EP by at least 50%) by Dirty Projectors and Bjork. Six of the seven songs were originally performed when Bjork joined the band last May at a Housing Works Bookstore event organized by Stereogum's Brandon Stosuy. It will only be available digitally, at a minimum cost of $7, and proceeds will go to benefit the National Geographic Society. Stereogum has a note, written by Dirty Projectors' Dave Longstreth, about the project.
