The great group
RxArt commissions work from top-shelf contemporary artists for children's healthcare facilities all over the country, often in the form of murals and framed works on paper and canvas, occasionally exploring more unconventional installations. Like, for instance, this CT scanner at Chicago's Hope Children’s Hospital, which was made-over by
Jeff Koons with his
trademark,
Paul Frank-ish balloon monkey face. Not sure I'd want a bunch of disembodied monkey heads watching me while I get my lower abdomen scanned, but maybe Chicagoan children feel differently. (
NOTCOT,
Kempt)
