Music Vampire Weekend Sued by Cover Model

Today's biggest, but not actually all that interesting, music news story is that Vampire Weekend is being sued by the woman whose photo appears on the cover of their most recent album, Contra. The woman, Kirsten Kennis, claims the signature on the photo release form was forged, and now she's seeking $2 million in damages. The band hasn't commented, and it seems likely they won't until things get settled.

Update: Brooklyn Vegan has gone all Woodward and Bernstein and is all over this shit. Apparently no one can figure out what her name really is, and her family might be in the toy business, and she might have a dog.
