Rise Against Covers Nirvana's "Sliver"

With all the big festivals happening this weekend, the indie-music world seems to be at a relative standstill, so we'll take this moment to point out last week's addition to The Onion A.V. Club's awesome Undercover series. It sees Midwestern melodic punks Rise Against taking on Nirvana's "Sliver," perhaps one of the most recognizable songs about visiting Grandma's house and eating mashed potatoes that's ever been. Unlike Clem Snide doing Journey, this match makes a lot of sense. Good things ensue:
