Previous installments of John Lichman and Vadim Rizov's "'Live' at Grassroots Tavern" podcast series, at the wonderful House Next Door, have addressed the Cannes Film Festival, the future of film criticism, and so on. When they and House editor Keith Uhlich invited me to be their guest, at a taping (taping? taping) right after the 4th of July, we produced a 89-minute podcast that pretty accurately captures the experience of four film critics sitting around getting progressively drunker while talking about Twilight, the World Cup, and why I'm proud to overrate the shit out of Nimrod Antal. We also talked a lot about Grindr, but the tape must not have been running for that part (weird). Anyway! I'm the one talking around a lisp.
