Next summer, for the
Royal Shakespeare Company's six-week run at the Lincoln Center Festival to be performed on a scale replica of its Courtyard Theater in Stratford-Upon-Avon
built inside the Park Avenue Armory, the 44-actor ensemble will perform
King Lear,
Antony and Cleopatra,
As You Like It,
Romeo and Juliet and
The Winter’s Tale.
ArtsBeat reports that each show will run for seven to ten performances, with ticket sales beginning in the fall. RSC headliner Greg Hicks will play Lear and Leontes in
Winter's Tale, while Kathryn Hunter plays Cleopatra and Fool in
Lear, which should be incredible.
Enron director Rupert Goold helms
Romeo and Juliet, but don't worry, its current run in England is
too good to fail.
