Art / Music Watch "Civilization" by Marco Brambilla, Video Artist and Director of Kanye West's Forthcoming "Power" Music Video

After commissioning Takashi Murakami for his Graduation album cover, Kanye West has tapped video artist Marco Brambilla to direct the epic, slow-motion, single-take and eagerly awaited music video for "Power" (we have a great unofficial video, in the meantime), the lead single of Yeezy's upcoming, now untitled record (which was just pushed back to an October 12 release). Last year, Brambilla was commissioned to create the above short film, "Civilization," to play in the elevators of the High Line-straddling boutique hotel The Standard. If you squint real hard, you can see Kanye floating through heaven in the second-to-last tableau.
