Spoon Does "Nobody Gets Me But You" on Fallon

Posted by on Wed, Aug 4, 2010 at 9:02 AM

In town for two nights of shows opening up for the Arcade Fire at Madison Square Garden, Spoon stopped by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon yesterday, where they played the Transference track "Nobody Gets Me Like You." It's a pretty perfect illustration of what's wrong with that record: a hook and a groove are established, and then harped on for a few minutes, and then nothing else really happens, and you start to feel like maybe they just didn't bother to write the rest of the song. Regardless, they seemed quite pleased with themselves.
