Tonight at Summerscreen, before the Denise, before the Robocop helmets, and before the co-ed naked locker room scene, the "so totally Brooklyn 2010" band Food Stamps will be performing a set off their wildly catchy EP for all of our listening enjoyments.
Come crush on them with us tonight at 6 pm in McCarren Park (N 12th and Bedford) when they open for Grooms and our free screening of Paul Verhoeven's straight-faced satire of gung-ho Americana Starship Troopers. Drink some Sixpoint and pile your galactic military cafeteria tray with tacos, hot dogs, and pork sandwiches while you're at it.
