Ok, not to be a dick, but "Roaring 20s" theme parties are as much a part of my childhood as someone who is, in fact, 95 years old... So it's hard not to mock everyone involved in this City Room post about the Museum of the City of New York's weekly Prohibition-ear parties, from the earnest attempt to make HISTORY FUN, to the assorted dancing nerds who say things like this: “The ’90s were kind of like the ’20s. Mindless spending and having way too much fun." You know what a lot of that mindless fun in the 90s entailed? Roaring 20s theme parties.
I miss the 90s. And the 20s. (I also got up on the wrong side of the bed today, sorry.)
