We named them
"The Best Excuse to Buy Lots of Silk-Screened Band of Horses T-Shirts" in our
Best of Brooklyn issue, and we weren't kidding. These
Insound sales are pretty awesome. The Greenpoint-based online music retailer opens its warehouse to the public from 5pm-8pm tomorrow, offering major deals on vinyl, t-shirts and posters; no shipping or handling costs; and no waiting for them to arrive in the mail. Ah, immediate gratification! CDs aren't on sale, but no one buys those anyway, plus there is the promise of free promo swag, refreshments, and possibly striking up a conversation with an attractive music nerd about, like, the transformative power of the Promise Ring or something.
