OMG, There Is Talk of a Possible Pinkerton Tour

In October, Weezer's 1996 cult classic Pinkerton will get the deluxe treatment with a reissue, new packaging, etc. Nothing too terribly exciting. But in an interview at the Mile High Music Festival last week, Weezer guitarist Brian Bell said something to the extent that he's "praying for a Pinkerton tour, where we'll play all the songs off Pinkerton soon," suddenly making said reissue very, very exciting — at least to anyone who spent the better part of eighth grade figuring out what the line, "Watching Grunge leg-drop New Jack through a press table" meant. If this tour happens, then I will finally get that =W= tattoo I've been talking about since I was 13.

Bell's interview, mostly revolving around the band's new album, Hurley, out September 14, also touches on a forthcoming rarities compilation of unreleased material called Death to False Metal; it can be seen after the jump, along with a video to a little song called "El Scorcho."

Remember this?
