Here's a fun game that will surely drive us all crazy! It's called Patently Hypocritical Politician! (Redundant much?) So, let's play...

Rudy Giuliani in the mid 1990s:

As the Mayor of New York City I will work as hard to protect someone's right to believe in God as he or she sees fit, because I realize that my right to practice my religion depends completely on my commitment to defend someone else's right to practice theirs.

and (speaking about the Chris Ofili "Virgin Mary made from elephant dung" scandal):

Taxpayer dollars shouldn’t support religion. We shouldn’t support vicious attacks on religion either. If they did it on private property, I would equally oppose it. I would speak out against it because I think it’s disgusting. But I would have to—and I would—provide the police, provide the pavement, provide all the things that the First Amendment requires.

Rudy Giuliani this morning, speaking in opposition to Cordoba House:

This project is creating tremendous pain for people who've already made the ultimate sacrifice. All you're doing is creating more division, more anger, more hatred.

He continued:

Nonetheless, Mayor Bloomberg should provide the police, provide the pavement, provide all the things that the First Amendment requires.

Just kidding, he didn't say that last part.
