J.Period, Spike Lee, Michael Jackson Man or the Music mixtape
Peppered with interviews, testimony from admirers, live and alternate recordings, Spike Lee and J.Period's 42-track Michael Jackson mixtape Man or the Music (free download here) spans Jackson 5 and Jacksons classics through demo versions of classics like "Billie Jean" and "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough" and rarities like "Heartbreak Hotel" and "Ain't No Sunshine." Physical copies of the mixtape were handed out at Spike Lee's 2nd annual "Brooklyn Loves MJ" party in Prospect Park on Sunday, but in case you missed that you can still get the mix for free. The hip-hop aided transitions between songs are especially enjoyable, like the part where "It's Great to Be Here" turns into "Can't Help It" with a little help from A Tribe Called Quest. (HipHopDX)
