There are surely worse things you could listen to on this unofficial first day of fall than 52 of the best songs released by indie rock behemoth Sub Pop Records during their first heyday back in the 90s. The label has posted three separate playlists, alphabetized by artist, on their SoundCloud page for you to stream at will. Should you choose to partake, you'll hear selections from the likes of Sunny Day Real Estate, Les Savy Fav, Mudhoney, the Screaming Trees, Sebadoh, Codeine and, ugh, so many more, including The Grifters. I don't know why more people don't talk about the Grifters. Anyway, hit it up. You won't be sorry. [via DIS]
