I don't pay too much attention to the
Billboard charts, on account of them being incredibly depressing and not actually all that interesting, even when an indie rock band like
Vampire Weekend or
Arcade Fire manages to snag a number one album, but it seems worth mentioning, insofar as I feel like it it signals the official end of summer, that Katy Perry's completely idiotic
Teenage Dream album no longer occupies the top spot. I don't know what it signifies that the top spot now belongs to
Asylum, the new album by dopey alt-rock throwbacks
Disturbed, but it certainly cannot be good. [
