Music In Case You Missed It: Watch Kanye West Do "Runaway" on the VMAs

As you quickly found out if you dared stop by Twitter, where every rock critic on the planet
was peer-pressured into covering it, the MTV Video Music Awards took place last night. It was really terrible, at least insofar as nothing at all interesting happened—not until the last few minutes, anyway, when Kanye closed the show with a ridiculously hyped performance of his new track, "Runaway." Say what you will about his non-music-related antics, but dude is trying harder than anyone else in the world of mainstream pop music to make records that don't sound like everything that came before.
