- "Look out, it's a money train!"
Beginning tonight at 6pm, New Yorkers will have a chance to let the MTA know
how they feel about possible subway fare increases (I'm all for transparency, but I really can't imagine that anyone will say anything other than "holy shit, this really sucks, why can't you guys get your shit together?") If the proposed 7.5 percent hike were to go through, it would see the monthly MetroCard fee grow to $104 and a single fare bump from $2.25 to $2.50. Ugh. (I guess this is what happens when you have a by-appointment board beholden to Albany.)
Anyway, the fun begins at 6pm at Cooper Union. Give em hell.
