Honestly, I wouldn't otherwise be blogging about
the supertight race for 50th Assembly (Williamsburg, Green Point, Fort Greene) District Leader because I have no idea what a District Leader does (inform on those of us exceeding our egg quota?). However, it was brought to my attention that the current leader in the race (which saw some voting complications on Tuesday) is twenty-something Lincoln Restler who—at least in the
Brooklyn Paper photo at right—bears an alarming resemblance to a young, fresh-faced Al Franken (and we all know where he ended up). So, should Mr. Restler/Franken turn out to win, I would like to be the first to congratulate him on his resemblance to a former comedian now senator of the United States of America. (And if he could tell me what a District Leader does, I'd appreciate it.)
