Art / News Vote on Which Mural the City Should Wrap Around Construction Sites

In the latest of several schemes to make the city's thousands of construction sites less of a blight on the cityscape, NYC.gov's urbancanvas Design Competition wants your vote (through 5pm on October 1st) to select four mural-sized patterns out of eight finalists that would be made available to building owners whose properties could be wrapped in public art instead of unsightly black screens during construction. Two personal favorites—"Untitled" by Jordan Seiler and "Bang" by Jiyoun Lee-Lodge left and right, respectively—are shown above. See them all here. (ANIMAL)
