Do you realize how fucking cool you would look driving around Brooklyn in a giant yellow school bus? You don't, because it's literally incomprehensible. But thanks to the boys in country-leaning indie rock band Deer Tick, you now have the chance to find out, as they're auctioning off the bus they used for all of their touring in 2009. Proceeds from the sale will go to benefit victims of the floods that killed thousands of people and destroyed somewhere in the neighborhood of a million homes in Pakistan this summer. Deer Tick's John McCauley on why they're doing it:

"The situation over there is so critical, but it seems that very few people are aware of it," said Deer Tick frontman John McCauley. "Maybe it's the stigma with that part of the world, I'm not sure. Either way, we feel really strongly that people should be more aware of the situation and hopefully we can help with that."

The bus, known within the band as "The Flagship," is a 2001 GMC Savannah, which of course means nothing to you, because you obviously don't know anything about specific school bus models. It seems nice, though, as far as school busses go. The press releases says the auction will run for three weeks, but you might want to act fast—there's a Buy it Now price of $2,000, which seems perfectly reasonable.
