Architects Redesign New Whitney Museum Building, Just to Fuck With Everybody

Axis Mundi Whitney Downtown

While longtime Uptown institution the Whitney Museum of American Art slowly gets to work on its new Renzo Piano-designed building at the south tip of the High Line (letting artists create amazing installations there in the meantime), frequent architectural feather-rufflers Axis Mundi figured they'd take another crack at designing a Downtown Whitney. The result, pictured above, looks a lot cooler than Piano's vision. Oh well... (Curbed)
