Politics Cuomo Would Legalize Same-Sex Marriage in NYC

We've been beating up on Carl Paladino around here quite a bit (because he's a dangerous idiot who deserves it), and basically ignoring Andrew Cuomo, because he hasn't really said or done anything (and because dynastic politics in New York gives us the willies). But, BUT, last night at the Empire State Pride Agenda, Cuomo said this (per the Daily News):
I don't want to be the governor who just proposes marriage equality. I don't want to be the governor who lobbies for marriage equality. I don't want to be the governor who fights for marriage equality. I want to be the governor who signs the law that makes equality a reality in the state of New York.
Thank fucking christ. If he can do this, I can overlook the inevitable state government dysfunction. Because really, what shame we bring upon ourselves by denying the right of two Americans to get married. Oh, and fuck you, Carl Paladino
