A few days ago, between working on his PhD, writing short fiction, interviewing art stars, working on his own art and doing who know what else, James Franco re-enacted Bruce Nauman's seminal video art piece "Art Make-Up" (1967-68, excerpt after the jump) in his Standard Hotel room for filmmaker Alison Chernick. Note the disappointing lack of shirtlessness...
